More Ways to Get Where We’re Going

Our family relies on public transit and we’re also members of Modo car co-op—which works well for us. But I know every family is different, and for many, driving is still the only practical option.

And when everyone has to drive, we sit in traffic.

As we plan for the future—including the Iron Workers Memorial Bridge—I believe we should think beyond simply moving more cars. How can we move more people?

That means making transit more reliable, walking and cycling safer, car-sharing more accessible, and driving less frustrating for those who need it.

I believe we should work toward a North Vancouver where getting where you need to go doesn’t always have to mean getting in your car.

Because I’d much rather spend my commute listening to a good podcast than watching brake lights.
